Seated Statuette of God of Literature

    The god was wearing an ancient official hat which had two belts. The two belts were on left and right shoulders of the god separately. The god had a square face, big ears. There were two small holes at the statue’s upper and lower lips which were used to hang on the real beard. He wore the dragon robe with wide cuff. He hold a Ru Yi （it is a symbol for good luck which is made of jade）in his left hand while his right hand was down naturally. Part of his boots can be seen. It was sealed “ZHEN HE JIN JI” in regular script at the back of the statue.
    Wen Chang God could dominate your intelligence and achievement in literature in Chinese traditional fairy tales. The statue was light and solid with light blue glaze. The figure was gentle, quiet and amiable.
