Publicity and Protection Department:To study, protect and manage all antiques

A. Storage: to make accurate records of all antiques; after checking all procedures, the related staff must make report to the head master of the record in two days in which it should include the following details: a. if all antiques all accepted or just part of them are accepted; b. if it’s necessary to protect with technical approach at once; c: all antiques have to be recorded in 10 workdays after the official reply which should be included the total number and the divided number.
B. Out of the depot: if you have to borrow the antiques or the specimens, you have to fill in all required procedures and the procedures have to be permitted by the master of the museum or the vice master of the museum.
You must return what you’ve borrowed as soon as possible with the procedures you’ve done when you took away the antiques or the specimens.
C. Daily Routines: two locks on the depot; the director of security and the staff of the depot can keep one key separately. The locks have to be changed anytime. The keys have to be put into appointed place which cannot be taken out of the museum; the keys cannot be borrowed to others. No one can be in the depot with a bag. No one can be in the depot with any dangerous devices. No smoking in the depot. The staff of the security must check all the electric wires and extinguishers regularly. The staff have to make accurate “dairy of the depot” and the “records of the visitors”. Check all storages at least once in a year. If the staff of the depot has to change their jobs they have to take over the job under the supervision of the leaders; single staff of the depot cannot come into the depot. If the staff from other department who has special reasons to come into the depot, they have to show the “permission” signed by the master of the museum and makes a record. The number of person who can come into the depot have to be limited, there are at least two security staff required to come with the visitors. The security staff cannot leave the depot before the visitors leave. To ensure the depot is dry and clean. To make all files, procedures and accountant books are clear and accurate.

Appraisal and Collection Department:
     the department is responsible for cooperating with the Custom, Police and other related departments to make certifications when the relic is in or out of China. Sometimes, the Appraisal and Collection Department can offer paid consultation for people who need the certification service and it has to take part in the job to manage the Relics Fair such as “Bai Luzhou Antiques Fair”. Archeology and Study Department:
     To abbey the rule “To Salvage the antiques first and protecting the antique is the most important.”  To investigate the antiques and relic sites in Xiamen according to related laws and regulations. The department has to excavate and salvage the relics which are in danger in time. At the same time, it should make full use of all possible technologies to protect the antiques. To make clear and accurate records (including videos and writing files and so on) each time. The department has to ensure the safety of the archeologists and antiques during the excavation. The department has to study on the theories on archeology and point out some new and valuable ideas regularly. The department should make communication with the other museums in or out of China to improve the development of archeology in China. The department should utilize its professional experts to ensure the authority of the museum on collection, exhibition.
