Official Seal of Left Forward Suizhengying

Collection situation

      The seal is a national second Grade Cultural Relic, made of copper in the third year of the reign of Emperor Yongli (1649) with a straight button, weighing 750 grams.
      It is 9.3 cm long, 6.2 cm wide and 8 cm high with rough surface. Eight seal characters “左先锋随征营关防” were engraved on the seal’s face.
      The land forces of Zheng’s army were divided into five branches: central, front, back, left, and right. According to research, the seal belongs to generals of the left vanguard forces. It was cast in the third year of the reign of Emperor Yongli (1649) by Xu Ding, ambassador of the casting and printing bureau. The seal was collected from Tong’an, Xiamen.
