It is said that the great national hero Zheng Chenggong was born in a cluster of reefs along the nagasakiya coast of Hirado-shima, Japan. Zheng Chenggong's father Zheng Zhilong went to Japan in his early years to do business, and met a Japanese woman surnamed Tagawa?in Hirado island. They fell in love at first sight and got married. The next year of their marriage,Zheng accepted Li Dan's offer to work as a translator for the Dutch invaders in Penghu and had to leave his pregnant wife. Tagawa often came to Qianlibin leaning on the stone and overlooking. One's day, after a period of labor pain, she gave birth to a baby boy on the seaside, who‘s grew up to be Zheng Chenggong, a hero resisting the Qing’s conquest and fighting against the Dutch colonists. The local Japanese people called this cluster of rocks along the beach as "Er Dan Shi(Child Birth Stone)". In addition, a monument named "Er Dan Shi of Zheng Chenggong" was erected nearby. Written by Japanese Sinologist Takahashi Yayama, the inscription on the monument celebrates Zheng Chenggong's life achievements and expresses his admiration for the hero.
