The six paintings are the genuine trzces of Pan Lishui, a famous temple painter in Taiwan, namely civil and military door-gods, and four Devarajas, which are specially collected from Taiwan.
The most outstanding part of Pan’s works is the door-gods. Featuring distinctive decorative ability, the door-gods are tall, dignified, vivid, wearing flowing and long beard and hair. Especially the eyes, wherever you are, you can make contact with their solemn look. His works, combining the efforts of traditional painting and western sketch, are precious heritage of folk art.
