Imperial Edict An incstribed board of Emperor Qianlong
Collection situation
This an incstribed board is over 200 years old and still in good condition. The rectangular frame is engraved with gold lacquer design of dragons playing with a pearl and the red lacquer center has cameo gold lacquer characters, totaling 244. It is a royal order from Emperor Qianlong to parents of Qiu Defu—Xundao (assistant of the local magistrate) of Zhanghua County, Taiwan Prefecture, Fujian on November 25, the 36th year of Qianlong (1771). Emperor Qianlong conferred titles on parents of a minor local official, showing his infinite royal graciousness and special attention to Taiwan after the Qing government unified the territory.
