Green Jade Ruyi Scepter, Qing Dynasty

Collection situation

    The Ruyi is carved from a piece of whole jade, carved with a pomegranate tree, two cranes, pine, deer and so on."Ruyi" is an auspicious artifact for pleasure. It began in the Wei and Jin Dynasties and became popular in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the Kangxi period, emperors and empresses of Qing Dynasty used Ruyi as a reward for the nobilities and high ministers.
