Bluish White Jade Cup in the Shape of Bronze Yi, Qing Dynasty
Collection situation
This is a jade cup made in the Qing Dynasty which imitates the shape of the bronze ware Yi (gourd-shaped ladle) in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. The quality of the jade is bright and smooth. It has a single deformed Chi dragon-shaped square handle. The outer side of the rim is carved with concave deformed lighting pattern, each side of the belly is decorated with a bas-relief Chi tiger pattern, and the handle is carved with concave cloud pattern.
