Blue-glazed Plate with Flowers ,Pinghe Ware, Ming Dynasty

Collection situation

The plate surface is decorated with outline in white glaze, the rim is fully painted with blooming sea anemones, the belly is painted with two groups of seaweed and two groups of hydra, and the center of the plate is painted with three blooming sea anemones accompanied with scattered floating seaweeds.
Although Pinghe ware imitates Jingdezhen porcelain, it also has distinctive local characteristics. Because Pinghe kiln products were mainly used for export, as for decoration, many other deformed wildflowers and grasses are also used besides sea anemone, which are very wild and elegant. Although the outer wall and the outer bottom are coarse, they have a sense of reality so that many Japanese tea masters like them.
