Chen Huacheng’s Thumb Ring

Collection situation

    Chen Huacheng was born on March 12, the 41th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (April 29, 1776) in Bingzhou Village, Min’anli, Tong’an County (Bingzhou Island, Tong’an District, Xiamen). He served his whole life in the army and finally became commander-in-chief of Jiangnan. This Thumb ring has been used by Chen Huacheng. Thumb ring is a hand protector on the finger to pull the bowstring. It is used to fasten the bowstring and prevent the rapid rebounding bowstring from scratching fingers.
