Pottery Figurines of Twelve Hours

Collection situation

    Unearthed from Xue's tomb in Xiazhong village, Huli District, the Pottery Figurines of Twelve Hours are common funerary wares in Tang and Song Dynasties and can exorcise evil spirits. Twelve-time period figurines refer to the twelve time periods a day and each time period is equal to two hours today.
