Madam Chen's Epitaph of the deceased Yingchuan in the Tang Dynasty

Although the Epitaph of Xu’s Deceased Wife Chen of the Tang Dynasty was unearthed in Quanzhou, it told the history of Xiamen. It recorded the story of ancestors of Mrs. Chen—the wife of Xu Yuanjian and solved the mystery of “Chen family in the South and Xue family in the North” in the history of Xiamen. Therefore it can be concluded that Chen family had moved to Xiamen Island in the Tang Dynasty and confirm the credibility of the legend that Chen and Xue developed Xiamen in the Tang Dynasty.
